Close to the medical facilities of Perth Children’s Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital, our Ronald McDonald House at QEII is a state-of-the-art, purpose built home. With 47 invitingly furnished family guest rooms and fantastic on-site facilities supporting education, play and wellbeing, we help make the lives of families just that little bit easier.
Located on Level 5 of Perth Children’s Hospital, this 14 bedroom House has the closest access to the ward for parents, carers and guardians of critically ill patients.
Accommodation in this House is allocated by Perth Children’s Hospital to parents, carers and guardians of critical and palliative patients, Royal Flying Doctor Service unplanned admissions, transplant patients and breastfeeding mothers of ill babies.
Ronald McDonald House on Park is a temporary facility offering families supported accommodation nestled amongst tranquil gardens, just a short walk from Perth Children’s Hospital.
Our primary goal is to provide safe and reliable short and long-term accommodation for regional families who have to travel away from their homes for their child to receive medical treatment at Perth Children’s Hospital or at King Edward Memorial Hospital.
We understand that being away from home for long periods of time can put families under financial pressure. That’s why our accommodation is free for eligible families with sick or injured kids.
While our policy is to provide free accommodation, your stay at the House may require you to claim financial support towards accommodation and travel from the relevant government transport assistance scheme. Our friendly team are happy to work with you to apply for the relevant financial support.
