Home For Dinner

Are you looking for a team building activity to help your colleagues connect in an authentic way, while they make a difference to the lives of WA families with sick kids?

Each year, RMHC WA will provide 50,000 home cooked meals for WA families in our care.  Join us for a very special giving experience to share with your colleagues and friends.

The Home For Dinner experience allows corporate and community teams to cook a meal for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House Nedlands and Perth Children’s Hospital.

Your team will work under the supervision of our catering supervisor in our commercial kitchen. After a long day by their child’s hospital bed, cooking a meal may be the last thing on a parent’s mind. By preparing a homemade dinner for our families, you can help ease the burden of a difficult journey.

What does it cost?

  • Corporate Groups: $1,500 (ex GST)
  • Community Groups: $1,000 (ex GST)

Can we “dress up”?

It’s always a big hit with our families if one of their favourite movie characters serve them dinner! If you feel like taking full advantage of the experience, please feel free to choose your own theme to ‘dress up’ in.

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, and when you’re caring for a sick or injured child, it’s the fuel you need to kick-start a morning filled with medical appointments.

Plan your menu and BYO ingredients then utilise the Ronald McDonald House kitchen to provide breakfast to the families who stay with us at Ronald McDonald House Nedlands and Perth Children’s Hospital.

The Big Breakfast sessions start at 7:30am.

Thank you for helping make our experience so easy. We had the most amazing time. Our Catering Supervisor was excellent, very professional and helpful

To hear about what some kids are going through when they should simply be having fun and enjoying their childhood definitely touched you. However the continued positive attitudes by the parents, gratitude and thanks for small wins was something to behold. There were some amazingly strong people that we met despite the challenges some of the families were facing, they were still able to smile. I appreciate the efforts of the team for being involved and hope everyone felt good about giving a bit of their time to ease the burden on the families, simply by cooking them dinner.”
